Revamping Blawhorn

Blawhorn Moss NNR

As part of the Blawhorn Moss revamp Amee and I spent today putting up some new signs at the reserve. Recently we have enlarged and improved the car park, patched up the potholes on the access road and now we have new welcome signs to give the reserve a more cared for look as well as providing visitors with information to aid their visit.

Of course digging holes in a bog is never going to be a clean job.

We were lucky that it was a lovely day and the reserve was looking fantastic. The heather is in full flower and emerald damselflies and black darter were right next to the boardwalk. If you need an escape from the city to experience a bit of wild then Blawhorn is a good place to try.
