Flanders Moss NNR
Last week we had installed 2 beautiful new benches at Flanders. These were made by local craftsman Ruari McKerracher from Scottish oak and fitted by Stephen McLuskie. The flaws and whorls in the grain are beautiful in themselves. But the really beauty of the benches is that they give people the opportunities (midge permitting) to sit and look. By just stopping and waiting you are likely to see much more as it increases the time you spend on the bog, allows you to observe in comfort and the wildlife is less disturbed.
So maybe on your next visit try them out for size?
