Flanders Moss NNR
Finding adders – even this tiddler ( born this year) that was out and about in the rain (not good weather for snakes).
Admiring a huge spider in the car park eating a shield bug.
Waiting to see out first hen harrier of the winter. These heavily persecuted birds of prey are declining across Scotland. They winter on Flanders Moss and are a joy to watch so we are waiting for our first and hope that there are still plenty to be seen over the winter months.
Cutting and raking up wildflower meadow at the car park (Poldark eat your heart out).
Enjoying the rain (always good for a bog) and the necklaces of pearls that it leaves.
