Volunteer on the Moss

Flanders Moss

During the winter months staff and volunteers spend most of their time working hard on Flanders Moss. We have the winter jobs finalized and are seeking some hard working and enthusiastic volunteers who are looking to gain new skills to help us complete some of these jobs.

One of the jobs is placing in more plastic piling dams to help slow down the water. By looking at the pictures you can see this will be a wet job but will require some skill as you don’t want to be falling in.

Other jobs include tree removal, bridge building, gorse cutting and willow coppicing which will include a bonfire on Wednesday 8th November.

If you would like to join in and help with habitat restoration and conservation work on Flanders Moss, please get in touch!
