Blawhorn Moss NNR
Despite appearances the car park at Blawhorn Moss NNR is open for visitors to park and enjoy the reserve. Work started today on upgrading the millennium walk, the path that links Blackridge and the NNR, and the contractors are using the car park to store the stone for the new path. They are leaving spaces for cars to be parked so people visiting the reserve are welcome to park there.
Please take care of the machines as they move stone down the track.
The work should be finished by 9 March and we apologise for any inconvenience to visitors. This work came as a bit of a surprise to us as well, but in a couple of weeks there will be another improved section of path for walkers to use.
