Flanders on show

Flanders Moss NNR

We are looking forward to welcoming to Flanders Moss on Wednesday 3rd Oct up to 100 delegates from the IUCN peatland conference being held at Balloch in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Peaty people from across the UK will be coming to Flanders to find out about some of the work we have been doing to, not only restore the bog back to its former glory, but also use Flanders to illustrate why peatlands are so important to people. The theme of the conference this year is Peatland Connections – Building Prosperity.

These events are always a good chance to exchange different experiences, meet old friends (the bog world is a small world) and get some feedback on some of the work we have been carrying out. We will let you know how it goes and whether we lose any of those attending in any of the wet bits!
