Flanders Moss NNR
It was a fabulous day yesterday on Flanders. Fairly mild, no wind, blue sky, beautiful autumn colours. But not many people can get out into the middle to experience it. It is a long, very wet, hard slog out to get far out onto the moss. The water table is getting high after the dry summer making it a bit “splashy”, the hummocks means you have to lift you legs high and there are lots of hidden, deep water ditches to be avoided. So we are happy to walk it, take the photos and put it on the blog so you can enjoy the full bog experience without breaking a sweat or getting your feet wet. Enjoy.
