Welcome back, Steve

Blawhorn Moss NNR, Flanders Moss NNR, Loch Lomond NNR

I am very pleased to welcome back Steve Longster to the Stirling NNRs team. Steve first came and worked at Flanders Moss and Loch Lomond in 2005 but more recently he has been working at Loch Leven NNR, then monitoring SSSIs and for the last 18 months working on a European funded LIFE project. But from 1 April he is back with us working on all things boggy and swampy on the lovely Stirling NNRs. Steve brings with him excellent practical skills, a Yorkshire understanding of value for money and really extensive botanical knowledge, all fueled by large amounts of tea. As usual when working on these sites you have to turn your hand to anything but Steve will be particularly focusing on building up our volunteer numbers and learning how to tweet – and other forms of social media. So say hello if you see him on the reserves and watch out for his blog posts.
