Flanders in full voice – international dawn chorus day

Flanders Moss NNR

Today is international dawn chorus day – a day to celebrate that wonder of nature when at the beginning of the day in spring the birdsong peaks. Flanders is a great place to immerse yourself in bird song and experience a dawn chorus with loads of birds yelling their heads off including cuckoos and curlews and because of this, this week we start an arts and music project with S3 pupils Wallace High School, Stirling.  An early morning visit to capture the dawn chorus visually and musically will be quite a challenge but with breakfast involved as well, it is the sort of challenge I like anyway. The results of the project will be exhibited at Flanders and on show on this blog later in the season so keep reading!
