This weekend, Steve (Reserve officer) will be watching over the moss between 12-4pm on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th ready to meet and greet the visitors of Flanders. If how last weekend’s visitor numbers are anything to go by, he may lose his voice. Last weekend I spoke to well over 100 people while I was manning the tower and most people had travelled far from down south specifically to visit the moss.
Flanders Moss can be a type of paradise for some and listening to people’s stories made me realise how special it is for people.
The boardwalk is still showcasing local art which has been produced by Wallace High school pupils on the Dawn Chorus Project; their art work is truly incredible but please don’t take our word for it, come along and see for yourself.
