Welcome to Ceris and Bethia

Stirling NNRs

Our 2 new student placements – Bethia (left) and Ceris (right).

Today was the first day for our 2 new student placements. Bethia and Ceris had their first bog experience today with a visit to Flanders Moss, the Prince of bogs. No wet feet achieved but a distance view of a cracking male hen harrier and some dragonflies on the wing was a good start to their placement on the 2 bogs, a swamp and some islands. They will be with us for a year to find out about all aspects of NNR management so you will being seeing a lot more of them on the blog and on the reserves. Say hello if you meet them.

There is always someone trying to get in the photos who shouldn’t be there.
